Terms of Service

Steven · steven.finance · Last updated August 14, 2026

These terms cover your use of Steven. We've written them in plain language, because you are trusting this software with money and you should be able to read what you're agreeing to.

1. What Steven is

Steven gives you an AI Agent with its own crypto wallet. You instruct it in conversation; it researches, plans routes across blockchain networks, and executes trades and transfers that you approve.

Steven is a tool for self-directed activity. It is not a broker, an exchange, a bank, or a financial adviser, and nothing it says is investment advice — including when it suggests a trade, quotes a price, or answers a question about a token.

2. Early access

Steven is early-access software. Features may change or be withdrawn, and there will be bugs. We may suspend or discontinue the service. Please size what you fund an Agent with accordingly.

3. Your account

  • You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and using Steven must be lawful there.
  • You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email secure — email is how sign-in and two-factor both work.
  • One person per account. If you invite others into a workspace, you are responsible for who you invite.
  • You may not use Steven for anything unlawful, including sanctions evasion, market manipulation, or laundering the proceeds of crime.

4. Custody, and what that means

Each workspace runs an isolated stack, and the wallet keys for its Agents are held inside that stack, encrypted with a secret unique to it. This is custody: we hold the keys so that the Agent can complete a trade without sending you away to sign each step.

We take this seriously — isolation per workspace, encryption at rest, approval required before funds move — but no custody arrangement is risk-free, and you should not treat an Agent wallet as long-term cold storage.

5. You approve; the Agent acts

Trades and transfers are proposed by the Agent and wait for your approval. When you approve one, you are instructing us to execute it. Spending caps and limits you set are enforced by the service, but they are your settings and your responsibility.

Standing rules you create — recurring buys, alerts and similar — continue to run within those caps until you disable them.

6. Risk

Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose money, including all of it. Blockchain transactions are irreversible once broadcast: a transfer to the wrong address cannot be recalled by us or by anyone.

Steven depends on third parties — blockchain networks, liquidity providers, price feeds, model providers and infrastructure hosts — which can fail, stall or price badly. Trades can fail, revert, or execute at a price different from the quote.

An AI Agent can be wrong. It can misread a market, misidentify a token, or plan a poor route. The approval step exists precisely because of this. Read what you are approving.

7. Fees

Steven is free while in early access. You always pay network gas and the fees charged by the exchanges and bridges your trades pass through — those go to the network and the venue, not to us. If we introduce our own fees, we will tell you before they apply.

8. Workspaces

In a team workspace, members share its Agents, wallets, balances and history according to their role. Owners and admins can invite and remove people, set roles and set per-person limits. Actions are recorded in an audit log visible to the workspace. Your personal workspace is not shared with anyone.

9. Liability

Steven is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, missed opportunities, lost profits, or for failures of the networks and third parties Steven depends on. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending it

You may stop using Steven and request deletion of your account at any time; withdraw your funds first, because deletion removes access to the wallets. We may suspend an account we believe is being used unlawfully or in a way that endangers the service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Steven after a change means you accept it.
